About Me!

Nyeem Txug Kuv

ENGLISH: Hi everyone! I am Lucy Vang, my Hmong name is Lug Vaaj. Similar to many of my fellow Hmong community members, I was also born in the refugee camp Wat Tham Krabok, Thailand, also known as Qhov Tsua or Vaaj Loog Tsua in the year 2001. I am 10th generation Moob VaajVug, my great grandfather contributed to the making of Keeb Kwm Kiv Dlaab Qhuas VAAJ-VUG which outlines our family tree and cultural customs (an image of our family's clan book is inserted below). I am currently 23 years old and graduated with my Bachelors Degree from California State University, Chico. I still plan to continue pursuing higher education. I've always had a big passion for the Hmong language, sharing knowledge to others, and education in general. My hope is that our newer generations & children will still be able to speak the Hmong language or strive to continue learning it so that our history, roots, and legacy stay alive.

🤍

My great grandfather Yawm Tooj Xwm Vaaj created & contributed to the making of our Family's Clan book "Keeb Kwm Kiv Dlaab Qhuas Moob Vaaj-Vug".

I want to credit and thank my Uncle XauvYuj Vaaj for this image of our Vang Family's lineage clan book and the 'vaajvug' image on the top of blog's header next to my website title "Moob Leeg Learning". These images significantly symbolize myself as a descendent and Hmong daughter of my specific Moob Vaaj family, generation, and lineage.

Kuv xaav ua tsaug rua kuv tug Iv Yuj (XauvYuj Vaaj) kws muab dlaim dluab thaij peb tsev neeg hab caaj cig Moob Vaaj phoo ntawv nuav rua kuv, hab nwg muab dlaim dluab 'vaajvug' kws nyob saum toj nrug kuv dlaim website lub npe. Ua tsaug kws kuv tug Iv Yuj tseem muab cov dluab nua rua kuv coj lug siv, lug qha txug kuv tug kheej hab kuv tsev neeg Moob Vaaj.

Contributing to the Hmong community is what fulfills me as a Hmong daughter and individual. I want to remind you to chase after your passions, dream without fear, and do what brings you happiness in life!
